What Can Go in a Dumpster

What can you put in a rental dumpster?

Furniture, household junk, carpet, boxes, wood, drywall, flooring, cabinets, roofing shingles, yard waste, branches, fencing and appliances without refrigerant. Mattresses are allowed for $25 each.

What can't you put in a dumpster?

Liquid paint, solvents, motor oil and other chemicals, tires, car batteries, propane tanks, refrigerators, freezers and AC units that still hold refrigerant, asbestos and medical waste. The landfill won't accept them.

Can I put concrete, brick or dirt in a dumpster?

Yes, in a 10-yard dumpster filled about halfway. They're too heavy to fill a larger container.

Where do I take tires, paint and batteries in Lawton?

The City of Lawton's Trash Off event each spring accepts them free for Lawton residents. It was held May 2, 2026 at the McMahon Memorial Auditorium parking lot.

Can I put a refrigerator in the dumpster?

Only if the refrigerant has been removed by a certified technician and the appliance is tagged. Otherwise it needs separate disposal.

Sizes and Weight

What size dumpster do I need?

Most home cleanouts use a 15 or 20-yard. Roofs use a 20 or 30-yard. New construction uses a 30-yard. Our dumpster sizes guide matches projects to sizes.

Debris must stay level with the top rail. Anything higher has to come out before we can legally drive it on the road.

Delivery and Pickup

How does dumpster rental work?

You call or text, we quote a price, we deliver to your driveway, you load it for up to seven days, and you text us for pickup.

Can I get a dumpster the same day?

Often, yes, if you call before noon. Next-day is standard, and we deliver on Saturdays.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. Keep the spot clear and tell us where you want it. We can text you a photo once it's placed.

How long can I keep a dumpster?

Seven days are included. Keep it longer for $15 per day.

Can you swap a full dumpster for an empty one?

Yes, usually the next business day.

Placement and Permits

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Lawton?

Will a dumpster fit in my driveway?

Our dumpsters are about 8 feet wide and most Lawton driveways are 9 to 12 feet wide, so yes in most cases.

Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

We put boards under every container to spread the weight, especially at the driveway edge.
